When rolling out enterprise software, there are always hurdles to clear during the evaluation and decision-making process.  According to our study, the two primary barriers for retail & restaurant organizations when shopping for new data analytics software are the price of the software as well as available IT resources to assist in rolling the enterprise software out.

However, there is a silver lining. Those same respondents rated Agilence’s price and ease of implementation better than the competition!

Cloud-Based Data Analytics Adoption

Many business applications continue to be deployed on premise, however as technology continues to advance there are more and more applications being deployed using the SaaS model.  While there is still a large unbalance of retail & restaurant organizations using cloud-based data analytics software for loss prevention & operations, respondents indicated that they are starting to embrace the idea of the cloud.

Less than 10% of retail & restaurant businesses use SaaS/Cloud for their data analytics implementation.

However, over 50% of them said they are open to making the switch to the cloud.
