Meet Our Management Team


Russ Hawkins

President & CEO

A 28-year technology industry veteran, Russ is responsible for developing Agilence’s overall strategy and leading its growth. Prior to Agilence, he built two early stage technology companies into successful businesses. He was President and CEO of SilverStorm Technologies, a developer and manufacturer of high performance computer networking equipment, from 2004 until 2006 when he sold the company to QLogic Corporation. Prior to SilverStorm, he was the President and CEO of Paragon Networks, a developer of wide area backhaul solutions for wireless networks, which he sold to Carrier Access Corporation in 2003. Prior to Paragon, Russ spent 15 years at Lucent Technologies in a variety of management positions. He graduated from Boston College in 1980.


Catherine Penizotto

VP, Professional Services

Catherine Penizotto brings over 30 years of Retail and Loss Prevention experience to Agilence. As VP of Professional Services, she is responsible for overseeing and creating the best strategy for our Professional Services, and Analyst Services teams in order to improve value to clients. Prior to joining us Catherine established OPTIC Loss Prevention; her consulting company which is focused on helping retail businesses protect their bottom line. Before which, she served as North East Regional Director of Loss Prevention for Sears Holding Corp. Also having held the position of Director of Asset Protection and Data Integrity at Penn Traffic. Catherine is currently volunteering as the Academic and Retail Partnership Liaison for the Loss Prevention Foundation.


Pedro Ramos

VP, Sales

Pedro Ramos is responsible for managing the Agilence sales team across our national platform. Prior to Agilence, he managed the loss prevention and reverse logistics programs for Pathmark, a 141 store supermarket chain, acquired by A&P in 2008. While at Pathmark, he led the effort to re-organize Pathmark’s loss prevention program utilizing Agilence’s solutions to reduce internal shrink and save more than $8 million annually. Pedro is a former chairman of the New Jersey Food Council’s Loss Prevention Committee. He is active in the Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association, NY Food Industry Alliance and the Loss Prevention Foundation. He graduated magna cum laude from Kean University, earning a BS in Business Management Science and Economics.


Derek M. Rodner

VP, Product Strategy

Derek Rodner has overall responsibility for the product strategy and marketing at Agilence. Derek was most recently Vice President of Marketing at PERFMAN, a cross-platform systems management software provider. Prior to joining PERFMAN, Derek was responsible for worldwide marketing for EnterpriseDB Corporation, spearheading the growth of the company to over 300 customers and millions in sales. Before EnterpriseDB, Derek held a number of marketing roles at Unisys Corporation. He led the open source initiative at Unisys and was responsible for the marketing of their Intel server line. In addition, Derek was the first non-employee Chairman of the Marketing Board for the Open Source Development Labs (OSDL). Derek was also the founder and president of a business re-engineering firm for Fortune 500 companies. Derek is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.


Ed Parks

VP, Engineering

Ed Parks is a technology executive with over 25 years experience managing the development of software and computer hardware products. He is responsible for all Agilence product development, and for leading its global development teams. Prior to joining Agilence, Ed served as the Vice President of Worldwide Engineering at Neoware, where he drove the development of thin clients and enterprise desktop management software, developed strategy, and led the integration of ten acquisitions in the US, Europe and China. During his tenure Neoware, the company grew from $8 million to $100 million in revenue over five years and became the #2 worldwide market share leader in thin clients. Ed also served as Corporate Director for Product and Market Development and Director of Engineering for Commodore Business Machines, and spent ten years with Eastman Kodak in various engineering management positions. He is a graduate of MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and holds an MSEE degree from Rochester Institute of Technology.


Craig Orr


Craig Orr is in charge of all financial and HR functions for Agilence. In his 30+ year career, He has held controller positions at six companies in various industries including Eastern Insulated Wire Corp, Cobra Products, Inc., Property Technologies, Ltd, and Fresh Air Solutions, LP. Craig graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Business in 1986.
